| "Roots of the Past" allows you to create your own unique family heirloom. The pattern includes complete directions and full size patterns for 28"x42" and 40"x52" family tree quilts. This quilt can be machine or hand appliqued. It looks complicated but it is not. The tree is cut from one piece of fabric and can be basted in place with needle and thread or even faster with a fabric glue stick. And then machine or hand appliqued. Photos are scanned and printed on photo transfer paper and appliqued in place. The leaves include names and birth and death dates. These can be typed in any word processing program and printed out on transfer paper and ironed on the leaf fabric, or hand written with permanent fabric markers. |
